I was so lucky to have first photographed this family last year in Maple Ridge for their family portraits. So naturally, I was thrilled when they contacted me again for an extended family photo session in Abbotsford at Fish Trap Creek to celebrate the grandparent’s 40th wedding anniversary! I loved taking their first family portraits, so I knew their second session would be just as wonderful. And boy, was I ever right! There were 3 generations of family for this gorgeous session and we had such a blast together. You should have heard the giggles when daddy threw his little boy up in the air!!
Four out of these 6 gorgeous people were from out of town, Saskatchewan, I believe! It was such honour to be chosen as their photographer while they were all out visiting! The scenery was to die for, despite the fact that it was off and on raining. We chose this specific location because it has some undercover areas that can be used should the rain turn into a down pour. Fortunately that didn’t happen! Gotta love unpredictable BC weather! However, umbrellas and boots were brought on stand by just in case. Hee hee. Rain does not scare this BC outdoor photographer! No siree!
My most favourite part of this family portrait session was capturing these grandparents who clearly were just as in love today as they were when they married 40 years ago. Their connection was so evident and it shows that true love really can last a lifetime! What a wonderful memory this family created by celebrating with an extended portrait session. Now they will have these heirloom images hanging on their wall and cherish them for years to come. I am so lucky to have been a part of it.
