This little guy celebrated his first birthday with ME in my Abbotsford studio. And boy, was he ever fun to be around! Mom & dad were there to blow bubbles and help make the little guy giggle. It was a full group effort, but was it ever worth it because we got some stellar images even though he was rather serious!
I’ve known this little guy’s mom for many years as we were both in nursing school. So when she contacted me for one year old portraits, I was over the moon to have them come visit me in my studio! It’s always so fun to connect with people who I’ve stayed in contact with on social media and watched their family grow. Because honestly, if it weren’t for facebook, I’m pretty sure many of us would be completely out of touch! But for anyone who knows me, I can be pretty chatty, so it’s great to talk with others who appreciate my photography career in addition to my nursing career. So his mama & I chatted all things nursing while we made crazy sounds and danced around to keep the little guy interested. Hee hee. Don’t tell him, but it totally worked. 😉
I loved the vision his mom had for the shoot: simple, clean and natural. Totally right up my alley! Who doesn’t love a sweet little boy in a bucket or an adorable baby bum?!?! These one year old portrait sessions are one of my favourites to photograph because they are always so much fun. I love the age 6 months to 18 months because kids grow and learn so much during that time period. They are like little sponges soaking up everything you teach them! I really enjoyed my own kids at that age, so of course I would enjoy this photo session!
Here he is in all his studio baby glory!
