This little guy was a dream come true in the studio! He was so relaxed and easy to pose…just like a model. His parents loved neutral brown tones that suited their home decor and I couldn’t have agreed more with their colour choices. Boys in brown…totally timeless! I got a few little smirks and smiles, which are guaranteed to warm anyone’s heart. I mean, who doesn’t love to walk past a beautiful canvas of their newborn baby smiling at them in their home? That’s what it’s all about. *grin*
Every baby is perfect in their own way, and this little man was no exception. Everything from his perfect little lips to his perfect little hands. I couldn’t have asked for more and I’m so happy I was chosen to photograph this angel. My Abbotsford studio was warm, the coffee was hot and the snuggles were plenty. I think he only peed on me once, so I call it a raging success all around! LOL.
Newborn photography is my speciality, my passion, my love. It involves so much thought, planning and precision. It’s a constant mental challenge to get the best, most flattering light, while posing baby safely in the perfect choice of props & colours. That’s the technical side of the session. But the BEST part is spending time with these tiny little babies and getting to know their amazing families. I LOVE it when parents, grandparents, and other extended family members join in the portrait experience. Whether it be during the photo session itself, or at the gallery reveal where all the edited images are shown on a big screen TV. The human connection is the most important piece of portrait photography. People put their trust in me to keep their babies safe, while capturing them at their best. I am so lucky to have this career!
