I was so excited to use my new pink flokati on this little beauty. Her mama loved greens and pinks, which is right up my alley! Compliment those colours wither her perfect little cheeks and we have a dynamite combination!!! She was from Maple Ridge and came to my Abbotsford studio for her newborn session. And I’m so glad she did…because just look at how sweet she is! Oh be still my heart!
This pumpkin was born a little early and we were still able to get her in before the 10 day mark. She was a dream to photograph too! Posed like a model and loved every minute in front of my camera. Many new parents don’t realize that newborns have a short window of opportunity for portraits, ideally between 6-12 days after birth. After 2 weeks, little ones have figured out their freedom outside the uterus and they no longer want to be posed. So of course safety is always the most important factor, and that is why I photograph newborns before the two week mark.
This lovely lady didn’t even require a pacifier during the session! She was so laid back and sleepy. I always recommend parents bring a pacifier to their newborn session if their baby will accept one. When baby is fussy pacifiers can make the session go a lot smoother. I also have spare hospital grade pacifiers just in case parents have forgotten one at home! Because I certainly know how hard it is to get out of the house with a newborn. Lol. However, I always respect parent’s wishes on whether they want to use a pacifier or not.
This was such a lovely session and I was so glad I got to snuggle this little peanut. Enjoy these beautiful images!
