These two little nuggets are the next best thing to sliced bread! They were newborn twins….a boy & a girl, and oh my, did I ever love having them in my Abbotsford studio! These two LOVED to be wrapped, which is not unusual for twins, seeing that they are used to being curled up together in tight quarters. They also had the most beautiful baby features! For being fraternal twins, they sure did look alike! <3
The parents of these two little loves chose a neutral palate…creams and greys, which are TOTALLY right up my alley. I adore photographing newborns in neutrals because they are timeless colours that don’t date. Because in all reality, when you have portraits on your wall, you want them to go with your home decor for decades! I loved customizing the styling of this session so much.
Newborn portraiture is such a special genre of photography. It takes a lot of education to do well. Everything from newborn posing and safety, to correctly wrapping, to angles & studio lighting. Not to mention the years of experienced required to do it well! Newborn photography is like a puzzle, and when all the pieces come together, a beautiful masterpiece is created. But not only that, but capturing babies in their first 2 weeks of life is such a special honour! Parents are often exhausted and both physically & mentally drained, so I know it’s a big deal to bring not just one, but two babies into the studio!
I am always honoured that parents choose me to capture their newest little arrivals. Their minds are always put at ease seeing that I’m a both accredited in newborn photography and a mom & a nurse myself. I always care for my client’s babies just as I would my own. Precious cargo!
