These are our people, our best friends and neighbours who have become family. They are the people who have seen our hearts, who we have laughed with over a bottle of wine, and cried with in times of sadness. These are our people. It takes a village to raise a family and we are so proud to say this phenomenal group is part of our village. We have travelled together from Vegas to Hawaii, we share frequent family meals together and our kids have multiple playdates each week. These are our people.
Every year we do family portraits for these lovely humans, and of course we had a great time this year. They always request doing a fall shoot as the colours are spectacular at that time of year. Yes, I love a beautiful backdrop, but what really gets me inspired is connection. I love capturing the mama snuggles, the giggles and the hugs. I love seeing daddy swing his daughter around. On of my favourite thing about family photos is taking time for couple portraits because I believe children need to see the strength of their parents relationship and to honour that in a photograph. But capturing your very best friends behind your lens…honestly, that is the best! I wouldn’t have it any other way!
We met at Aldergrove Park in Langley for this incredible fall shoot. The colours are incredible, don’t you think? The yellows and oranges are so vibrant, just like this beautiful family. We were so worried the rain was going to come full force and stop us in our tracks, but thank goodness mother nature smiled down on us this year. Our crazy BC weather is always dicey in the fall, but we lucked out. And boy am I glad! with I can’t wait to see what’s in store for their next photo session! Thank you for allowing me to capture your family love every year, my dear friends.
